We empower needy families with the Financial Resources, Information, and Linkages to help their children and youth excel professionally and excel as leaders.

SELECTION CRITERIA
  • Need-Based and/or Student-Specific
    Select targeted families and children through communities, networks, orphanage centers etc. Some applicants may qualify based upon gender, family and medical history, or many other student-specific factors such as orphans or disabilities.
  • Merit-Based
    Provision of awards   based on a student’s academic achievement, science/engineering aptitude and other outstanding abilities, and often factor in an applicant’s extracurricular activities and community service record. Most such merit-based scholarships   will be paid directly to the institution where the student attends or through network linkages.
  • Career-Specific
    These will be specifically for emerging mid-level professionals with leadership potential for exchange or direct fellowships; to benefit students who pursue careers in high-need areas such as specialized education that will benefit the disadvantaged e.g. specialized professional training for teaching children with disabilities, cerebral palsy etc.
  • College-Specific
    Linking students to scholarship opportunities/fellowship. The Trust we will organize educational annual events, workshops and educational field exposures for specific groups and teams.
  • Capacity Building
    The Trust will offer financial, capacity-building and management and operations support to scholarship organizations. The Trust will invest where resources and expertise will have the most significant long-term impact and work hand-in-hand with the staff and likeminded institutions
 SOURCE OF FUNDS/RESOURCES
  • Leveraging Resources and Gifts from Philanthropic Sources
    Through various connections and fundraising, The Trust will leverage resources that will enable to formalize the activities and create an investment fund that will help the Trust generate scholarship funds in the next ten years
  • Connections
    The Trust will partner/link with networks and institutions that provide bursaries or scholarships.
  • Fellowships Linkages and Mentorship for Leadership Development
    Linking emerging Young Leaders to opportunities of fellowship and professional development and mentorship
  • Tea Farm Revenue
    Every year the family will donate 10% of the profits from investment from the family’s tea and forestry revenue for the Trust’s use.
